Why you love doing what you do?

I love sharing yoga with people, especially the ones that say "I can't do yoga! I can't even touch my toes!". I absolutely believe that anyone can do yoga regardless of their age, body type and tight hamstrings. Once you leave your ego at the door anything is possible.

Why did you bring what you love to do to the Clinic?

Yoga is a perfect fit for an integrated wellness clinic - it can help to heal the body and soul. It's a joy to teach and practice with like minded individuals.

What do you think the benefits are to providing an integrated wellness clinic to this community?

In today's go-go-go world it seems that everyone is searching for a way to reconnect to other people and  themselves.  Having a clinic, with a top notch staff, that offers such a wide variety of modalities, in one convenient location, is a blessing.

Share with us the name of a few books that inspire you:

Yoga From The Inside Out by Christina Sell.

This is such a beautiful book by Anusara teacher, Christina Sell, about making peace with your body through the practice of yoga.

The Yoga of Eating, Transcending Diets and Dogma to Nourish the Natural Self by Charles Eisenstein.

I love this book. I often reread it when I start to get sucked into the diet mentalities that we are constantly bombarded with. It reminds me to eat according to the higher authority - my own body.

Light on Yoga by B.K.S Iyengar.

How can you not be inspired when you look at the poses B.K.S. is able to get his body into? He's amazing! Plus the photo for Simhasana I and II always cracks me up.
